Childhood dream: To finally get my driver's license and drive to New York City to become

Favorite interview: Nelly Furtado and The Philosopher Kings in Barbados. It
was just great to be in the Caribbean with
fellow Canadians. I hung out at a beautiful beach, enjoying a tropical drink
with Nelly and then got to go sea-doing with The Kings, which was all followed
up with a night at their sea-side concert under the stars... an all-round
amazing day!
Ultimate interview: Ellen DeGeneres
Personal style: Jeans, jeans and more jeans!

"secret"

Golf tournament for literacy and talking about the female G-spot orgasm on live
television.
Sealing the deal with ET Canada:I heard about the opening for an entertainment reporter through a friend
who was one of the new producers here. I called to arrange a meeting with the
executive producer, Zev Shalev, and we hit it off right away. A few days later,
I was offered the job!
What you don't know about my ET Canada

Roz: Actually listens to hip hop sometimes
Rick: Likes jazz music and casinos
Rosey: Is addicted to moisturizer and wears delicious coconut-scented lotion
Right Now. Kim wants you to know:
- I have a
very good sense of humour about life and myself.
- My family is very important to me.
- I can be shy.
The calling: While most feared public speaking in school, Kim embraced it and thrived on
the magic of capturing people's attention. It was public speaking in high
school that prompted her to pursue a career in broadcasting.
The dream come true: In 1998, Kim began
her career by researching for the award-winning youth-consumer show, Street Cents, on CBC Television. A truly
creative soul, she eventually went on to host and produce stories for the show
for four seasons.
"When they [producers] called me in to tell me I landed the job as host on
Street Cents, I actually screamed...
I knew it was an opportunity that would change my life forever."
During her first year as host, Kim was nominated for a Gemini Award for Best
Host of a Youth Program. The show also won many awards in the four years that
Kim hosted, including three Gemini Awards and an International Emmy for Best
Youth Program.
From there, Kim went on to report for CBC
Sports, CBC Marketplace and CBC Newsworld before becoming a video journalist
on CBC's The Hour.
The reward:"Meeting new, exciting and talented people everyday, exploring the
world and experiencing things in life I might not otherwise have the
opportunity to experience. Traveling and seeing lots of movies is always a
great perk too!"
