ROBIN GILL
Robin Gill is Global National's Sunday anchor and one of Global B.C.’s correspondents. She joined Global National in December 2008, but spent eight years previously reporting and anchoring at Global Ontario. Robin covered some of the Greater Toronto Area's biggest stories, such as the visit of the Dalai Lama, the SARS outbreak, and the Air France crash at Pearson International Airport. She also appeared on American television networks, such as NBC and Fox, reporting live on those events.
Robin earned her degree in International Relations from the University of British Columbia. She also has a diploma in broadcast journalism from BCIT. While still in school, Robin began her career as a writer and researcher at BCTV (now Global BC). That took her to a gig as a reporter and anchor in a small town in Saskatchewan. From there, it was back to Vancouver for a reporting job at CBC. Robin later joined A-Channel Calgary (now Citytv) for the station's launch in 1997, where she was a reporter and morning show co-host.
This past February, Robin travelled to India to produce a five-part special series on Canadians in the region.
