Lorie Racicot

Lorie was crowned Miss Canada 2008, and it is with pride and humility that she takes on this new role. With a great zest for life, Lorie is intense and focused in all areas and appreciates a good challenge.

Born and raised in Joliette, a little town near Montreal, Lorie, who is now 24 years old, works as a medical electrophysiology technologist at the Sacré-Coeur Hospital of Montreal. Along with performing cardiology exams at her work, she also works with the Foundation of Heart Disease in Quebec to help raise awareness around the fact that cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death among women.
