Kathryn Laurin

Professor Kathryn Laurin is President and Vice-Chancellor of Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ms. Laurin joined MSVU from the University of Regina, where she balanced a very successful career as a professional musician with that of a university professor and senior administrator for the past 21 years. Her positions included a five-year term as Dean of the faculty of Fine Arts and one year as Acting Vice-President of Administration. Ms. Laurin has worked extensively in her community in her capacity as a professional musician and received the Saskatchewan YWCA Woman of Distinction Award for Arts and Culture in 2001.
